You can now tour a virtual Lincoln Road, with Miami VR startup Avenue Planet

Miami-based startup Avenue Planet is bringing 12 of the world’s most famous streets into virtual reality, starting with Miami Beach’s own Lincoln Road.

It’s part of the company’s new content hub for VR content, which allows users to access any kind of virtual reality content—from Star Wars to the Aurora Borealis—from one starting place inside a VR environment. The team focused on making it as easy as possible to discover new content through the app, and allowing users to shop directly inside VR through their ‘v-commerce’ payment service.

“V-commerce is the possibility of somebody being in a virtual world and being able to purchase products,” said Sanjay Daswani, Co-Founder and CEO. “The whole experience of walking through a store, looking at products on shelves, and having this product come to life, is what we’re bringing to the table.”

To launch the technology, Avenue Planet is working with stores including Avant Gallery, 24 Kilates, and Books & Books, where the company recently hosted a press conference and ribbon-cutting with local leaders from the Beacon Council and Miami-Beach Chamber of Commerce. sexomalta escort girl

“It really is one of the most unique and enjoyable shopping avenues you can experience, and so we’re honored to be your first avenue,” said Miami Beach Commissioner John Elizabeth Aleman.

Avenue Planet is available on Android, Oculus, and Samsung Gear VR. Android users can download the application via the Google Play Store and use any compatible VR headset. For Oculus users, the application is available by invitation only at http://my.avenueplanet.com/invitation.
