Cracking the Code

What is coding? What are coders doing on their computers?

How is coding going to affect our future businesses?

What opportunities are there in Miami for all of us as it relates to coding?

Join HYPE Miami for its first signature event of the Chamber year: an introduction to Coding and
how it’s impacting the Miami business environment. Join us for a presentation and introductory
class on coding hosted by lronhack, the leader in digital training, leadership and enterprise events.

The program will consist of:
6:00PM – Start Your Tech Career Workshop
Start your path into tech – even if you come from a completely different background. In this
practical lecture, Antonio Manueco, Co-founder of Wynwood Tech and Lead Software Engineer at
Blubeta, will tell you about the Miami tech scene and the difference between UX Design and Web
Development.
7:00PM – Intro to JavaScript and UX/UI Design (English)
earn the basics of JavaScript and UX/UI Design in a hands-on session led by two lronhack
instructors. Don’t forget to BRING YOUR LAPTOP.

Intro to JavaScript- How to build the website – the “Contractor”
Coding is becoming the most in-demand skill across industries. We believe in learning by doing so
this workshop will consist in a crash course in JavaScript and a practical exercise. You’ll be
surprised at how quickly you learn to write your first lines of code!
Intro to UX/UI Design – How to design the website – the “Architecture”
Our interaction with digital screens has increased exponentially over the past decade. Apps have
become a daily part of people’s lives and they all have UX/UI Design at the core of the development
process. In this workshop you will
learn the basics of UX/UI Design and make your first project.
