Fete de la Musique with Tamboka and Mo’booty at Wynwood Yard
Welcome the beginning of summer the French way, with a celebration of free music across the City. This year, several activations pop up throughout town.
Rhythm Foundation is a non-profit organization celebrating its 29th season of presenting outstanding international artists in South Florida. They are partnering with the French Embassy’s Cultural Services for the celebration of the Fête de la Musique 2017. On June 21st, they invite you to celebrate the beginning of summer in music, from 7pm to 11pm at Wynwood Yard, 56 NW 29th St, Miami.
For the opening act, Mo’booty, a psychedelic, surf-noir Francophone band, will cast shades of punk over the slowly flooding Miami landscape. Their sound is heavy, thick, loud, sometimes noisy but always hits with a purpose.
Tamboka, a musical group inspired by Gypsy and Latin musical traditions, will then perform, inviting you to dance. Vibe with them through the tropical and earthy sounds impregnated in their hands and voices. At the Wynwood Yard, be prepared to “free your mind, as your soul follows”!
