FLOAT, an illuminated parade at Vizcaya

Join us for a one-of-a-kind event in honor of third and final installment of Processional Arts Workshops summer residency at Vizcaya. Join us for FLOAT, an illuminated parade that explore the depths of Vizcaya’s past and present connection to the Sea.

Through oversized illuminated lanterns, the parade will illustrate the journey of James Deering, Vizcaya’s founder, from agricultural heartland to untamed seascape while conjuring his vision of Vizcaya as a nautical fantasy.

This never-before-seen performance will travel from Vizcaya Village across South Miami Avenue to the Main House side of the estate in front of Biscayne Bay.

TICKETS | $10 for adults; $5 for children

**Want to participate in the parade?**

From July 28 through August 2, you sign up to participate in free community workshops to build the colorful lanterns for the parade under the instruction of Processional Arts Workshop’s artistic directors. All workshops are free and open to the public and materials are provided. For more info, click here.

Members of the community are also welcome to play an active part in the procession and join the cast by carrying the illuminated lanterns. Keep an eye out for a CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS on Vizcaya’s Facebook page.
