Poetry, Art, Community at Vizcaya

Celebrate Miami’s local culture and history with original Vizcaya-inspired poems and photographs. This evening is presented in partnership with FIU Honors College students from “Poetry Art Community,” a year-long course taught by Professors John William Bailly and Presidential Inaugural Poet, Richard Blanco. Gather in the Courtyard of the Main House to explore photographs and enjoy formal readings from Blanco and Campbell McGrath, Creative Writing Professor at FIU and Pulitzer Prize finalist. Afterwards, adjourn to the East Terrace for pop-up poetry readings set to a soundtrack of lapping waves of Biscayne Bay.

Drinks and light bites available for purchase at Vizcaya’s Café and Shop.
