The University of Miami created The Launch Pad in 2008. The program aims to support budding entrepreneurs in South Florida. The program offers mentorship, guidance, and connections  Launch Pad clients. The Launch Pad also has a consulting program that is limited to University of Miami students and alumni, but the organization does offer workshops, seminars, and events that are open to anyone.
