How to: Score a goal with SoccerShape

TRY THIS: Professional athletes and soccer stars developed SoccerShape, a team workout plan that combines training with fun soccer plans.

Soccer is one of the most physically demanding sports to play, which means the people who have played it at a professional level know a thing or two about pacing and breathing. Your mental limits get pushed just as much as your physical ones, and you aren’t alone. The group effort gives you a chance to work on yourself without being by yourself.

WHY TO TRY IT: You don’t need to be a soccer pro or even a soccer fan to try this out. This isn’t a one-dimensional gym session. It’s a workout meant to develop every part of your body to get you moving faster and better.

There are beginners classes all the way up to expert level. There’s training at every level and you don’t need to feel like a master to participate. Although once you master, you can level up to increase the challenge and intensity. Rather than the normal, mundane gym workout, you get to work out and feel good doing it.

MOST SURPRISING FACT: All the founders of SoccerShape play for Miami FC with one coach who currently plays for the New York Cosmos. SoccerShape isn’t made by a bunch of amateurs; it’s crafted by those who have played the game and want to spread their knowledge throughout the community. While many on staff played soccer professionally, the program isn’t made for soccer players. The sessions are made for everyone.

HOW TO TRY IT: Visit either the Miami Beach or Wynwood locations. More fun than sprinting on a treadmill or riding a stationary bike, you’ll get a full workout just by playing around. You’ll sign up, sign a waiver, and attend classes near you.

You can also book a private session if you’re not ready for the group experience yet. But keep in mind the group setting is a major reason to join.
