Update, Noon on Sept. 11:
We are updating the map hourly. You can also find more ways to donate and volunteer on our How to help after Hurricane Irma post.

Update, 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 11:

We have teamed up with The Miami Foundation to source organizations that are working on the ground to help with Hurricane Irma recovery in our community. If you know an organization, add one here so that others can learn about it and donate, and so The Miami Foundation can consider it for funding from their Hurricane Relief Fund.

Update, 5:26 p.m. on Sept. 9:

As Hurricane Irma passes, we’re shifting this map into recovery mode. We’ve added an option for reporting hazards like flooded streets and downed power lines. You can also text the information to 786 369 0995 we’ll add the information for you.

Here’s an example of what you can submit:

Have you been looking for Hurricane Irma supplies? Need to know where to find shelters? We’re making a map for that, and you can help. If you’ve been to a store, gas station or other location to find supplies, tell us what is available there.

As the storm progresses, we will add other reports to the map as well. What would you like to share? Let us know in the comments.

Click on the yellow plus sign in the map above to submit a report, or use the links below.

Where to buy gas

Where to buy water

Where to buy other supplies (Plywood, batteries, medicine, food, etc.)

Note: This is a crowdsourced project, and we’re relying on the community to help keep it up-to-date. If you visit one of these locations and find that information here is inaccurate, please let us know in the comments so we can update the post.

I’d suggest reports of water levels and power outages post storm…

    • Great Idea. We will do our best to compile that info afterward.
