Hey David! What is it you do here in the 305?

I am one of the owners of minibar in South Beach.

How does Miami help you do what you do or influence your work?

Miami is in every element of what we do. This city has done so much for me, all I ever want to do is make it shine and put it on the map for all the great people that work in the hospitality industry down here.

What is your favorite Miami memory?

The first time I jumped in that water!

Wax poetic for a minute and tell us: what brings you most alive about this city?

Every time I cross that bridge and see the Miami skyline lit up at night and the beach fading in the background I’m reminded that anything is possible in the Magic City.

What are your favorite local social media accounts to follow and why?

@52chefs is a food and beverage photography account by Anthony Nader and I love to follow it because he is always supporting local Miami establishments, chefs, and bartenders. I can always see who is up and coming in the game through his exposure of a lot of talented individuals that we share the city with.

If you could eat only one meal from a local restaurant for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Kimchi fried rice with a fried fish from Chef Jimmy Lebron and Chef Guilermo at 27 Restaurant.

Outside of the obvious stop above, share your other top three destinations for where you’d go on your perfect Miami day.

Start the day at CAO Bakery for a papa rellena with a cafe con leche, lunch at Hoja Taqueria for some tacos, dinner at Orilla Bar & Grill for the steak, fish, and drinks.

What’s an unpopular opinion you have about the city?

Bars should stay open until 5:00 am on the Beach.

If you could give any one piece of advice to locals, what would it be?

Be yourself and be genuine — you never know when opportunities present themselves based on what you truly like to do.

What are you looking forward to through the end of this year?

Continuing to grow our business and making impactful memories in the community.
