Where in town might people run into you?
They might run into me at Kasa Champet in Pembroke Pines, at many of the fairs in Miami-Dade or Broward, at the Little Haiti Cultural Center.
What made you decide to become a member of The New Tropic?
I looked through some of the posts and instantly felt like it’s a community I would like to be part of. I like the fact that you cover different topics and areas around which will allow us all to know a little about other communities than our own and I have a lot of opinions and experiences I think the community will be able to make good use of.
What’s something you’re working on that you could use help with?
I’m trying to grow my handmade jewelry and accessories, created mostly with wood , eggshells and other found materials. I can use the help finding affordable venues that I can idea consign them, sell them and be seen with them. Many of the opportunities that are out there are out of the price range I can afford right now and those that are not do not offer the traffic/clientele that could and would support and purchase my wears.
What local business do you think deserves a shoutout?
Ebene Naturals hair products. I chose them because the products are not only affordable but they are really really good. She recently opened and brick-and-mortar store and can use the support.
What’s a local event you went to recently that you loved?
Recently, I went to a networking event in Pembroke/Miramar area that Mimi’s Boutique put together. It was well put together, the energy in the room was awesome and the food and the venue was nice as well. She had it at Douce on State Road 7.
What are you celebrating in your life right now?
I’m celebrating the fact that my jewelry and accessory business is finally starting to take off a bit as I have arduously been creating for a couple years now.
