Where in town might people run into you? High Pines/South Miami/Coconut Grove, UM pool, ocean swimming at South Beach, Sailing in Biscayne Bay.
What local business do you think deserves a shoutout? Mine! Orange Home Design + Renovation. I’m a tech industry drop-out, and got my start designing and remodeling my own homes. Fast forward a couple of years, friends have asked for help with their home projects, so I decided to branch out. I’ve found there’s a real need for a sense of design, experience and responsiveness. Plus I love it!
What’s a local event you went to recently that you loved? “Dolphins and Rainbows” swim around Dilido Island and Christmas Party.
What made you decide to become a member of The New Tropic? I’m a regular reader and had wanted to support your work. Then I found out that my friend Chris Adamo works with you, so of course I had to become a member.
What’s something you’re working on that you could use help with? I’ve started to work with an organization to design and create clean, happy and inspirational home environments for families that don’t have the means or the skills. We need donations and volunteers!
If you only have one meal left in Miami, where are you going? Coconut Grove Sailing Club…not so much for the food, but for one of the most gorgeous views in Miami, the live music and friendly atmosphere.
What’s a recent story you’ve read about Miami that you wish more people cared about? Seagrass die-off in the Biscayne and Florida Bays…the bays are vital to our economy, our home and our well-being, and if the grass dies, the bays die.
What’s your perfect day in our city? Watching the sun rise from south beach, morning ocean swim with friends followed by brunch at Lilikoi, groceries at Trader Joe’s, maybe a nap, and dinner at home with friends.
What does it mean to you to live like you live here? Get out and experience all the diversity, vitality, culture and craziness that is Miami.
What are you celebrating in your life right now? Much deeper love for family and friends.
