Meet Natasha, your new director of The New Tropic

We love helping you make the most of Miami, and we’re excited to introduce you to your new local director of the New Tropic, Natasha Del Toro, who will be working to help you feel even more connected to your city.

Natasha is from Puerto Rico by way of North Carolina (beans and rice and biscuits and gravy, hell yeah!). She moved to Miami five years ago from NYC to work as a correspondent and producer of investigative documentaries at Fusion TV. Lured by balmy nights, sunsets, empanadas and the distinct mix of Latin American cultures, she fell in love with the city despite the traffic and reckless drivers.

She has a mild obsession with politics, particularly the crazy brand in Florida. And dreams of one day biking to work without fearing for her life…and of seeing this booming city become a more equitable playground for everyone.

She can’t wait to hear from all of you. So feel free to hit her up at [email protected] or reply to the newsletter with suggestions, coverage ideas, or just to say hello and tell her about where to find the best empanadas and croquetas.

Natasha will be working along with Lance Dixon, our storytelling producer, and they’re excited to continue helping you #livelikeyoulivehere in the new year.
