STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE

A month ago, Miamians gathered in groups across the city to share their Miami stories – where they came from, how they got here, where they think they’re headed.

The “My Miami Story” initiative from the Miami Foundation is all about getting people from all walks of life to come together and share their vision for the 305 with people outside the communities where they spend most of their time.

One of the big goals is chipping away at the deep silos in which we live here, sharing dinner with people who live on the other side, whether that’s the other side of the county or the other side of the poverty line.

Alejandro Gonzalez hosted his own My Miami Story dinner to do just that. And he has some thoughts on how we all can take steps toward breaking down those walls.

We’re floored. If you buy Passion of Fruits Fabuloso, Miami.com says you’re probably a telenovela star. See what else your choice of Fabuloso scent reveals about you.
