🙄 Does it get any more Florida Man than this?

At last week’s Miami Book Fair, bands like @magiccityhippies and projects like @wynwoodcoloringbook entertained Miamians of all ages.

TAKE 2

Tomorrow is the runoff for the City of Miami District 3 commission seat. It’s between first-place finisher Joe Carollo, who got about 30 percent of the vote, and Alfonso “Alfie” Leon, who got about 20 percent. Click here to see our interview with Alfie. (Unfortunately, Joe Carollo didn’t reply to our requests for an interview.)

If District 3 was on your ballot on Nov. 7, then it’s on your ballot tomorrow, too. Your polling station stays the same as well.

If you need proof your vote matters, think about this: Alfonso “Alfie” Leon was only 17 votes ahead of the third-place finisher, Zoraida Barreiro, who he beat to get to the runoff. SEVENTEEN. #votelikeyoulivehere

WHAT’S NEW IN THE 305

Classic Florida Man. A Fort Myers man was charged with child neglect after leaving his toddler and infant in the car while he hung out at a strip club. Luckily, another patron noticed and helped the toddler unlock the doors. (Miami Herald)

Another one bites the dust. Feeling the pressure after all of the Democratic gubernatorial candidates called him out, Florida Democratic Party Chair Stephen Bittel has resigned. Of course, this comes after six former party staffers came forward, accusing him of behaving inappropriately and making demeaning comments toward women. (Miami Herald)

¡Salud! Miami Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a little coquito. That’s why Wynwood Brewing Company has got its own take on the Puerto Rican eggnog-like beverage, with coquito-inspired milk stout. If you’d rather make legit coquito at home, check out the recipe on this list of holiday cocktails. (Miami New Times, Miami.com)

Don’t let her near you with Botox. A woman posing as a doctor at a Surfside medical spa was arrested late last week. The name tag on her white lab coat said Dr. Alicia Giser, but it turns out Ms. Giser isn’t licensed to perform medical procedures in the state of Florida. (WSVN)

Red tape. Pedicabs are a fun, green way to get transported around a city, so why aren’t there any in Miami? Miami New Times has the rundown on how municipal code makes it almost impossible for pedicabs to operate here.

Work work work work work. Florida economists are relieved to find that employment levels have bounced back after Hurricane Irma. There was even an increase in the leisure and hospitality jobs sector, showing that the tourists ain’t afraid of no storm. (Sun Sentinel)
