It’s lit. If there’s one thing Miami’s urban planners are good at, it’s making our parking garages sexy. But even by our very high standards, what this developer has in mind for a new 17-story parking garage is pretty dope. (Miami Herald)

YASSS. Legendary Brooklyn pizzeria Roberta’s has landed in the Design District. We think this means there’s officially nothing New Yorkers can be uppity about when they come for Basel next month. (Miami New Times)

Growing pains. The nightclubs on NE 11th Street in Downtown like E11even and Space have been getting slapped with tons of noise violations the past few months. Now one of them, Heart, is suing the City of Miami, saying it’s all a play to drive the clubs out of business so the land in the in-demand neighborhood can be used for condos or retail. The controversy shows Downtown’s growing pains as it tries to become a neighborhood where people live, after decades of being a place people ditch when the work day is over. (Miami New Times)

Victory lap. It’s officially Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s last year in Congress, and she says she’s going to spend it as a “happy warrior,” fighting for immigrants and to keep South Florida above water. (Miami Herald)

Rock out. The legendary Fillmore Miami Beach concert hall is celebrating 10 years of bringing great music to Miami Beach, but it’s also threatened by a wrecking ball – Miami Beach commissioners want to knock it down to build an 800-room hotel for the Miami Beach Convention Center next door. Until a decision’s made, come out and celebrate its anniversary on Thursday night. (Miami.com)
