The Miami Foundation’s Public Space Challenge has become an important resource for projects, big and small, that make Miami a better place to live. From planting gardens in food deserts, to creating scenic spots of urban retreat, to a full-on outdoor roller skating party, the challenge is fueling amazing ideas that help create a more livable, and more vibrant city.
We caught up with four previous challenge winners to hear their stories. They might just get your own ideas flowing on how to improve your neighborhood. The application is easy and anyone can apply at ourmiami.org.
Tonight, The Miami Foundation is hosting a launch event for the Public Space Challenge from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ball & Chain in Little Havana. RSVP at miamifoundation.org/rsvp.
