Maybe some of you have heard that it’s Swim Week from your cool connected friends or because you’ve seen all the ads popping up on the interwebz.
It looks all sexy and stuff… but we’re gonna ask the obvious question: WTF is it?
After some serious Googling, we learned that it’s basically the premier fashion show in the country for swimwear. This year is its 34th run.
From July 14 to 19, there’s gonna be a ton of runway shows, parties, and trade shows in hotels and tents on Miami Beach. Designers come to showcase their new swimsuits. Distributors come to find new brands. And everyone else just “networks” aka getting litty in your bathing suit on company money. We can’t be mad about it. Welcome to the world of beach fashion, ppl.
It only makes sense that this week-long event happens on Miami Beach, where the water is warm enough to swim year around and we’ve already got all those sexy, luxury beach vibes. And even if you’re not a model, fashion designer, or distributor, there’s plenty of pop-up shops, pool parties, and beautiful people to take in.
