Take your team to the Dolphins Family Fit Fest

GO TO THIS: Now in its fifth year, the Dolphins Family Fit Fest will welcome and challenge kids of all ages next Saturday, May 4, in Davie. Participants can expect NFL-style football drills, free fruits and vegetables from Baptist, and a high-energy Zumba class.

WHY TO TRY IT: This is your shot to test your football skills alongside current and former Dolphins players and to make health lifestyle choices fun for the young ones. They can also participate in health screenings and a giant Zumba party.

Kids 18 and under can compete in football drills – 40-yard dash, broad jump, vertical leap, and the quarterback toss – to win prizes and see how they match up against professional athletes.

FUN FACT: According to studies, it can take between five and 10 tries for a toddler to like a new food. For kids aged 3-4, it may take 15 times before they’ll develop a taste for it. The folks at the Family Fit Fest will provide tips on how to get the young ones into fruits, veggies, and other foods.

HOW TO TRY IT: The Dolphins Family Fit Fest is on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nova Southeastern University’s Baptist Health Training Facility in Davie. The event is free, but registration is required.
