There’s no better way to live like you live here than to have a say in who represents us. Historically, just 20% of Miami’s almost 1.3 million registered voters participate in local elections. And of those, millennials are “just a blip on the screen,” according to Kathryn DePalo, senior instructor in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University.
Let’s try to change that.
On November 3, there are three general elections taking place in Miami, Miami Beach, and Homestead. Check out our voter guide for a chance to explore the candidates’ views on the issues we all face. Early voting runs from now until Nov. 1 in Miami and Miami Beach and is happening from October 29 through October 31 in Homestead.
