Behind the scenes: How our local galleries are getting in formation for Basel

Art Basel officially begins today and runs through Dec. 4, bringing more than 70,000 art connoisseurs to our sandy shores. With so many pensive eyes turning to our Magic City this week, you know Miami’s art scene is getting in formation.

While Basel is the big deal art fair, there are also a bajillion other satellite fairs, concerts, and activations all throughout Miami-Dade.

We popped by local galleries in Little Haiti and Little River to ask them how they were preparing and what they were most excited about during Art Week, or as it’s known around these parts, just “Basel.”
