City of Miami Voter Guide

Hey City of Miami, listen up: you’ve got an election going down.

It’s not getting the attention it should because the mayoral race isn’t competitive. But there’s a seven-person race for the District 3 commission seat, pitting some of the most legacy names in Miami politics against newcomers who want to shake things up. The District 4 race is also very competitive.

Plus, there’s the “Miami Forever” bond that’s up for a vote. What happens with this could have more of an impact than anything else on the ballot.

So we’ve built this City of Miami Voter Guide to help you get to know the candidates and understand those jargon-y city proposals. These races are non-partisan, so we haven’t identified a person’s party affiliation unless it’s part of their civic experience.

You probably already have your mail-in ballot in hand, and early voting begins on Oct. 28, so read up, then #votelikeyoulivehere. Find the early voting sites here. Find your regular voting site here.
